As per sources, the current address bar takes away much space and Google is keen to change that in a bid to utilise the significant space for web browsing. One plan being scrutinized now is whether they can make the address bar visible only when users make their mouse pointer move around some precise part of the screen.
This 'compact' navigation solution would take the web address option out of each tab eventually leaving more screen space to show web pages.
However, Google's rival, MSN's Internet Explorer (IE) 9, already has such an option. About 120 million are now using Google chrome and such changes are expected to make users experience of browsing more smooth and easy.
