Research In Motion (RIM) has announced its new CDMA-based smartphone BlackBerry Style 9670 for the Indian market. The smartphone functions on Blackberry OS version 6. The smartphone comes in flip design measuring 3.8" x 2.4" x 0.7" and boasts full QWERTY keyboard. The BlackBerry Style 9670 smartphone comes with 5 mega pixels camera, plus there is a flash support.
The other prominent features are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, video recording and playback, 512MB flash memory, built-in GPS, an 8GB microSD/ SDHC memory card, Music player supporting AAC, AAC+, WMA and a 32 GB of additional storage capacity.
The smartphone supports 4.5 hours of talktime and 10.5 days of standby time.
"The CDMA segment represents a significant portion of the overall mobile subscriber base in India and we are pleased to further our commitment to Indian consumers with the introduction of this powerful and stylish BlackBerry smartphone," RIM India Managing Director, Frenny Bawa, was quoted as saying.
