A father allegedly under influence of liquor killed his daughter on Monday. Jhanniram, a resident of Baniyiari village under Gilaula police station after consuming liquor came to his house and started demanding money from his wife to purchase liquor. On being denied, he started thrashing his wife. On hearing their mother's cries, son Vishnu(8),daughter Reena(4) and son Munna (2 month) came for rescue, which annoyed Jhanniran. He threw his daughter Reena on the ground, who sustained serious injuries. After this Jhanniram fled away from the spot. Reena was admitted in the hospital where she died during treatment.
The police took the body in its custody and sent for autopsy. A case has been registered in this regard and investigations are on, police said.
