A set of forest worth to Rs 3 Crore for a film 'Joker'

Shirish Kunder, director of Joker, has no qualms when it comes for spending much in order to give that extra touch to his forthcoming 3D film 'Joker'. So, when he needed a forest for the shoot of a sequence in the film and was not happy with the feel of a real one, he chose to spend some 3 crores to build a set of a forest in Mumbai than settle in for a real one.

A real forest would not meet Shirsh's needs as the film is being made in 3D and it required the look of a fantastical world. So, the forest needed to be customized as per the scene's requirement and now, it will resemble the kind of world which was seen in 'Alice in Wonderland'.

Shirish Kunder confirmed this news and said, "It should all be worth it though. Reason being that we need a huge space to shoot some of the most critical scenes in the film. It wouldn't have been possible had we shot in a real forest."
