The FQC aims at better understanding the needs of Nissan's diverse range of customers and build vehicles with high-level of customer satisfaction, while the training centre, which is the seventh such facility of the Japanese auto major globally, will hel p it consistently achieve the "Fix it right the first time" concept of Nissan.
Nissan Motor India Managing Director and Chief Executive Mr Kiminobu Tokuyama said, "at Nissan, quality is a key attribute in establishing brand value. The training centre will provide product, process & soft skill trainings for dealership staff which wi ll help us better focus on ensuring a quality ownership experience to our customers."
Under quality control initiatives, every new Nissan dealership will undergo training before start of operations.
Nissan India, a fully-owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor of Japan, was set up in 2005. In February 2008, Nissan, together with its global partner Renault of France inked an MoU with Tamil Nadu to set up a 2 lakh units plant at Oragadam and committed an inv estment of Rs 4,500 crore over 7 years.
On this March 17, the Renault-Nissan plant was inaugurated and in July it rolled out its the car -the Micra, from the plant and from October began exporting the same to over 100 markets. Nissan has 20 dealers at present and plans to have over 100 by 2013 .
After the success of petrol Micra, Nissan early this week started booking for its diesel variant, which it plans to launch before Christmas. The company has so far sold around 4,500 units of the petrol Micra
