Steel and Iron prices were stay quiet

NEW DELHI: Quiet conditions persisted on the wholesale steel and iron market on Tuesday as prices continued to trade in tight range on restricted buying activity and settled around previous levels. Traders said restricted buying due to subdued demand mai nly kept steel prices unaltered.

Following are today's quotations in Rs a tonne: CTD saria (Kamdhenu) 8-mm, 40,500, 10-mm, 42,200, 12-mm 40,900, 16-25 mm 38,750.

Saria Jai Bharat (ISO 9002) 8-mm 38,850, 10-mm 38,050, 12-mm 37,250, 16-25 mm 37,250. Amba saria (ISO-9002) 8-mm 37,700, 10-mm 37,000, 12-mm 36,400, 16-25 mm 36,200.
