DMK MP Kanimozhi, who has been named as a co-conspirator by the CBI in the 2G spectrum scam case, said on Thursday that she would fight legally if the investigative agency wants to arrest her. Kanimozhi told CNN-IBN that she would not apply for an anticipatory bail. She also said that no one should think that she is an easy target. Kanimozhi was named in the 2G chargesheet by CBI on April 25.
CBI sources say that Kanimozhi has been actively associated with former telecom minister A Raja who has already been arrested by the CBI in the multi-crore scam.

Veeraraghav TM: Tomorrow the case is coming up in the court and there is a possibility which is being discussed, that you may be arrested. Are you ready for that eventuality?
Kanimozhi: The case I have been telling you time and again, the case is unquote and I don't believe in speculation. Lets wait and see what happens tomorrow and court is which has to decide. I cannot tell you what court should decide or what the court would decide.
Veeraraghav TM: But are you prepared for that eventuality? Do you think it is now something which is inevitable?
Kanimozhi: If that is want the legal system wants, if that is what the CBI wants then we have to wait and see. We have to fight it whatever it is. We have to fight it legally. We will fight it legally and I think DMK has also said whatever it is we will face the whole thing legally. So we have to stand up and fight in the court. But lets wait and see.
Veeraraghav TM: You have been named a co-conspirator in the case. It is a very serious charge which is been leveled against you officially by the CBI in the chargesheet. A co-conpirator in the 2G case.
Kanimozhi: Yes it is a very serious allegation and I'm very serious. I'm sure that I will come out of this clean and if people think it is the end of it, it is not.
Veeraraghav TM: Are you suggesting that you have been targeted in this case?
Kanimozhi: I don't want to say that I have been targeted but I don't understand why there are so many names in the chargesheet. There are so many people against whom there are allegations. But the entire focus is on me and I don't understand why?
Veeraraghav TM: Do you think there may be a perception that you are an easy target?
Kanimozhi: If people think I'm an easy target, then they are highly mistaken.
Veeraraghav TM: Do you believe whatever happens tomorrow will have a impact on the DMK-Congress alliance?
Kanimozhi: I cannot make decision for the party and I'm not here to say things like that. But only thing I like to say is whatever comes out it, we will face it legally and I have complete faith in the Indian judicial system and there will be justice one day.
