The government's star witness David Coleman Headley is on the stand for the third day. He's pleaded guilty to scouting out sites in the attack that left more than 160 people dead. Headley has been describing the reaction of his former friend, Tahawwur Rana, who is on trial in the case.
Headley testified on Wednesday that Rana praised the attacks by saying: "Tactically, this was done brilliantly." Headley also said that Rana praised a member of the Pakistani militant group blamed in the attacks.
Rana has pleaded not guilty to providing cover for Headley in Mumbai and to helping Headley in planning another attack that never happened on a Danish newspaper.
