IPL4: Total Sixes Hit

Match No. 1 CSK vs KKR
CSK Batting
6.6 Ladda to Anirudha, SIX, start the counter. The first six of the IPL. And guess what, it is not being hailed as a "DLF maximum". Lalit Modi, you are being missed! Tossed up leggie on off stump, Anirudha hops out, gets to the pitch and tees off straight over long off. That landed in the Marina beach, by the looks of it.
Chennai Super Kings 57/1 S Anirudha 32* (21b 5x4 1x6) S Ladda 1-0-12-0
15.1 Ladda to Dhoni, SIX, oh boy, Dhoni has smashed the leather off that one. Over-pitched on middle, it might have actually been too full for the usual lofted drive. But Dhoni has the ability to make room and create that helicopter swish of the bat which means unless you york him, he will get under the ball. He sure got under that one.
Chennai Super Kings 113/2 MS Dhoni 22* (14b 1x4 1x6) S Ladda 2.1-0-21-0
15.4 Ladda to Anirudha, SIX, that's like the kind of ball a friendly dad would bowl to his five-year old son who is holding a bat for the first time. Short and excruciatingly slow outside off, Anirudha waits on the crease and pummels it over square leg.
Chennai Super Kings 120/2 S Anirudha 57* (45b 6x4 2x6) S Ladda 2.4-0-28-0
19.6 Kallis to Morkel, SIX, that's out of here. Kallis has finished with a poor over, and that was the poorest of the lot. Length ball on Morkel's stumps as he was opening up the off side by backing away. He saw it in the slot and just butchered it over long on. Mighty blow, and that's a nice late flourish for CSK.
-----------------------------------------
KKR Batting:
10.1 Jakati to Pathan, SIX, bosh, that's trademark Yusuf. Over-pitching ain't a good idea. Jakati lands this in Yusuf's half, and Yusuf sends it to the other half of India. Reaches out, gets under it and monsters it straight.
Kolkata Knight Riders 82/1 YK Pathan 8* (4b 1x6) SB Jakati 2.1-0-14-1
18.3 Randiv to Tiwary, SIX, super shot! Tiwary's managed to get muscle under a very full offie, that wasn't a length ball but he did really well to get under it and launch it just over long on.
Kolkata Knight Riders 139/5 MK Tiwary 21* (12b 1x4 1x6) S Randiv 3.3-0-27-0
18.4 Randiv to Tiwary, SIX, Tiwary has turned it around. Two blows is all it took. Randiv's melted under the pressure. Should Raina have bowled this over? This one was a length ball, landed on off and sat up beautifully for Tiwary to cart deep over square leg. Bosh. 9 from 8.
Kolkata Knight Riders 145/5 MK Tiwary 27* (13b 1x4 2x6) S Randiv 3.4-0-33-0
