One person has been arrested in Nagpur for the murder of a college student who was stabbed on her way to class last month. Police sources, according to PTI, believe that whoever killed Monica Kinrapure outside her engineering college was a contract killer- and got the wrong girl.
Monica was walking from her hostel to her classes on March 11 when she was attacked with a knife. She was taken to hospital by a passerby - she was bleeding and a knife was wedged into her back. The police at that time said that a group of 3-4 men had assaulted her.
PTI says that the men meant to kill a friend of Monica's who had rejected a young man.
