Lauding Team India for lifting the cricket World Cup, the Railways today announced to issue first AC complimentary lifetime passes to the members of the winning team. "This pass will be valid with one companion for unlimited free travel to anywhere in the country," a Railway Ministry official said.
Railway Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee has congratulated the Indian team for "spectacular victory" against Sri Lanka to lift the World Cup after 28 years.
India defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets in the World Cup final in Mumbai last night.
