Notwithstanding the controversies surrounding her and the financial troubles confronting her grand home production 'Rani Laxmibai', former Miss universe Sushmita Sen believes in the dictum 'don't worry be happy'.
''I believe that there is just one life, so one must just live it. Problems will keep coming, just accept what comes your way and be happy,''Sushmita said at a function to announce her appointment as the brand ambassador of JAFRA Ruchi Cosmetics India Private Limited, a joint venture between US-based cosmetic brand JAFRA and Indian firm Ruchi Soya Industries.
Speaking to reporters at the function, Sushmita, who, on November 19, celebrated her 35th birthday, said she always has had a positive outlook towards life come what may.
''I believe that one must live one's life to the fullest.
Personnaly, I believe in this philosophy,''the actress said looking her vivacious self.
Sushmita, who will soon be seen in the comedy 'No Problem', which releases on November 10, said she was quite excited about the film and looking forward to it.
''We have been getting an excellent feedback about the film. I am really excited about it,''Sushmita, looking chic in a short, black and white polka dotted dress, said.
Asked whether she was nervous on the eve of the release of the film, the actress said, ''A film release is a full time stress for actors, but if you ask me, I have never been nervous about my Fridays. Though a lot of actors are falling ill because they are overworked about their releases, I have really no problem about my film which is incidentally called 'No Problem'.
The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, releases on theatres on December 10.
The films stars a host of Bollywood actors including Anil Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut.
On being appointed brand ambassador of JAFRA Ruchi Cosmetics India Private Limited, Sushmita said she was glad to be part of a movement for the betterment of women in India.
''I am glad that in my country, where there is a majority of women who are not educated, now there is a platform where they can come and train not just to make a living and empower themselves, but also bring about a development in their personality,''the actress said.
Sushmita also been appointed as an honorary consultant with the company.
Urging women to be part of the training process, the actress said the company provided a platform through which they can earn some extra money and at the same time be part of a worldwide network of sales consultants.
''This works like a pyramid - there are mentors and then there are people under them, and then there are new entrants, who are trained to sell these cosmetics door-to-door. Though I don't see myself yet going door-to-door selling JAFRA products, but at some point, I would love doing that too,'' she said.
