The Chennai Suburban Police on Tuesday arrested Anandarajan, second husband of Vijayakumar's daughter Vanitha, on charges of assaulting the veteran actor and threatening him with dire consequences. It is said that Vanitha had dropped her son at Vijayakumar's house in Maduravoyal. When she went there along with her husband a few days ago to pick her son up, a verbal duel broke which resulted in fisticuffs.
Vijaykumar is learnt to have suffered a fracture following which he filed a police complaint against Anandarajan and Vanitha. Based on the complaint, the police on Tuesday arrested Anandarajan from his office at Nungambakkam.
Meanwhile, Vanitha has alleged that his father, brother Arun Vijay, first husband Aakash and sister Preetha's husband Hari were hatching a conspiracy against her. "They are unable to digest my growth in the business," she said.
