The Supreme Court was hearing a petition filed by Tata group chairman seeking a direction to the government to probe leakage of tapes containing his private conversation with corporate lobbyist Niira Radia, and stop their further publication.
The Supreme Court also issued notices to Open Magazine & Outlook Magazine.

A bench comprising justices G S Singhvi and A K Ganguly was hearing the case.
In his petition, the industrialist had sought action against those involved in the leakage of tapes alleging that such an act amounts to infringement of his fundamental Right to Life, which includes right to privacy under Article 21 of the Constitution.
