Yeddyurappa to meet President Today

The row between Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa and the state Governor H. S. Bhardwaj continues as the CM takes the issue to Delhi. The top BJP leaders are set to meet President Pratibha Patil on Monday demanding the recall of the Governor.

Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa was also in Delhi on Sunday to discuss the issue with the party members.

"I want to meet Mr Chidambaram and explain all the things. It's an insult to the people of Karnataka, to the Chief Minister, to the democratic system. This is not the first time Mr Bhardwaj is doing like this. As soon as he became the Governor of Karnataka, he started this. He may be representing Congress even today; he wants the BJP should go and Congress should come to the rule," Yeddyurappa was quoted as saying.

On Friday evening Bhardwaj had sanctioned the prosecution of the Chief Minister requested by two lawyers over the alleged corruption charges.

Yeddyurappa also said that he would be meeting all the MPs and Rajya Sabha members of the party. Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley along with other party members are expected to meet President today.

"I have seen so many governors for the last 20 years. The current Governor is acting as Congress and JDS agent," Yeddyurappa noted.
