Tata Nano car in India catched fire yet again, 7th incident till now

Shockingly, Tata Nano car in India catched fire yet again, although the sales have been moving well over the past 2, 3 months for this car. It is the seventh time that a Nano car caught fire. Nano got launched in March 2009.

Just near Shivranjani Crossroads in Ahmedabad, this Tata Nano car of some Vipul Jani caught fire when he was driving back home. The unexpected fire occured in the rear part of this car engine and took Vipul by surprise as he had bought this car less than a year ago.
Interestingly, another Nano car had also caught fire on National Highway-8 near Boriyavi village last year.

Though no one is able to tell what really caused this fire, maybe it is the lack of sufficient ventilation for quicker engine cooling that caused the fire. However, that can be just another assumption but the extreme heat generation in the in the engine bay can be really causing the weaker plastic materials to get heated up very easily.

Some months back in 2010, Tata had called back many Nanos for providing additional protection, and that too free of charge.
