CHENNAI: Hyundai Motor India, the country's second largest car manufacturer, on Tuesday announced that it has crossed 20 lakh sales mark in the domestic market. "Today is a red-letter day for all of us in Hyundai. We are extremely delighted to share this achievement with all our stakeholders and we believe this was possible because of our total commitment to the Indian market and the faith our customers have put in our products..." said Mr H W Park, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India.
With these achievements, HMIL becomes only the second manufacturer in India after Maruti Suzuki to reach these distinctions. At its manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur near here, the company currently produces seven models in the passenger car segmen t and exports to more than 115 countries, the statement added.
