Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan denies 2G link

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday denied any 2G link and said that Cineyug Films Director Karim Morani is not an investor in his film production company Red Chillies Entertainment.

He said that his links with 2G scam accused Karim Morani are only personal and not professional.

"I have personal relations with the Moranis, but they have not made any investments in Red Chillies. The law will take its own course, let's not sensationalise the issue by dragging Bollywood stars into it," said Shah Rukh.

The Patiala House Court on Monday rejected Karim Morani's bail petition in the 2G spectrum scam case and sent him to judicial custody. He was arrested soon after his bail petition was rejected.

Morani is accused of facilitating kickbacks to Kalaignar TV and was allegedly instrumental in the transfer of Rs 214 crore from Shahid Balwa-promoted DB Realty to Kalaignar TV in which Kanimozhi and Sharad Kumar have a stake of 20 per cent each.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has alleged that Morani took Rs 6 crore for facilitating the Rs 214 crore transaction. The court did not accepted the plea of the accused that he was entitled for bail as he was not arrested during the investigation of the case.
