A fifty-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping his teenage daughter in Sardhar town of the district, police said on Friday. Keshu Timbadiya has been arrested for raping his 16-year-old daughter, police said.
The offence came to light when the girl became pregnant and was admitted to Rajkot civil hospital on January 25, where she gave birth to a baby-girl, police said.
The girl initially told police that she had been raped by some unidentified persons.
But further questioning revealed that her own father had been raping her for the past three years. Her mother is visually impaired, police said.
Keshu has been arrested and would be sent for medical check-up where DNA test would be also conducted, said police inspector D D Vaghela, the investigating officer.
