India's Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi have lost to the Bryan Brothers for the Australian Open men's doubles crown. The Indian duo were unable to topple the top seeded duo in the tournament, losing 3-6, 4-6.
Paes and Bhupathi were simply helpless against the Bryans, who have held the world number one ranking in the doubles for the past eight years, and the difference in class was evident when the Americans broke the Indians twice but were never threatened.
This victory marked the fifth Australian Open victory for the Bryans, and their 11th Grand Slam double title.
