Slim Rules

All these days you have spent listening to the fact that you are overweight. So why not give your body a chance to be slim? At least give being slim an opportunity to impress you once. Who knows you might just build a liaison with it. Do not get confused by my statements, I was just trying to be a little witty. Alright if my wit does not work, I hope that my golden rules will. So here they go…

Rule 1

I have noticed that people who are overweight have this strange tendency of trying to portray that they cannot eat much. I would like to say that this would not make you look slim, you would look bulky anyway. So better realise that if you are overweight then you are definitely eating more than the required amount (unless you are suffering from thyroid and such diseases). The body uses food as fuel and the extra food is stored as fat. So to reduce weight you need to eat less than the required amount.

Rule 2

Patience is a virtue that human beings do not posses. If you have worked hard for two years to put on so much then you cannot expect to lose the excess in two weeks. Remember that even if you go on crash diets, they won't work. The initial results of crash diets are just illusions. In the long term, they are counter-productive. The trick is to be under a sensible and nutritious diet regime.

Rule 3

The belief that potatoes, pasta, bread and other carbohydrates are always fattening is not but a myth. Rather they can actually be beneficial when trying to lose weight. The way you cook them and what you put on them is important. Of course you cannot expect mashed potatoes with full fat cream and mayonnaise to be healthy. If you have oats in the similar manner then that will also add to your cellulite content. But if you have plain boiled potatoes with other boiled vegetables then you would feel less hungry as potato takes time to digest. I guess now I sound like a real dietician. Let me go to the next rule.

Rule 4

Sloth is a sin that we commit every day I am sure. So stop being lazy and relying only on a diet regime. It is extremely important to workout. Regular exercise is prescribed to slim people as well as it takes care of your overall constitution. For those who are overweight brisk walking and spot jogging can also be extremely fruitful. But obviously I do not mean that working out for two hours one day and hogging the rest of the days of the week would help. The situation should rather be vice versa.

Rule 5

Learn to abstain from temptation. Temptation is not just a devil in disguise but is the devil in full form. Once you overcome this enormous hurdle, you can be assured that you would reduce weight consistently.

Rule 6

Finally let me give a tricky idea. This strategy might work for those who love to shop and have a love for fashion and style. Buy a nice branded pair of jeans with a waist size small than your by at least three inches. Trust me if you harbour a love for all these, then that pair of jeans will lead you to your destination.
