'Bigg Boss' star Shweta Tiwari to hit big screen

'Bigg Boss' winner, Shweta Tiwari is set to hit the stage and act in a play that will see her play 13 characters.

''Aine Ke Sau Tukde''- directed by Saif Hyder Hassan, is based on sibling rivalry between two sisters that span across four decades.

Shweta plays the role of 'Minal', who is envious of her sister 'Maanya', who joins her family. Minal carries her hate and hurt over forty years in the two-hour-long play.

The play centres around Shweta's monologue to her mirror which she uses to reveal her feelings. The production will also present Shweta in a deglamourised role with very less make-up.

Speaking to media here yesterday, Tiwari said the project was a challenge for her and on being offered the role initially, it made her cry.

The role was offered to her way back in 2009, even before she participated in popular reality show-'Bigg Boss'- which she won. The script, which was in English took another three months to be translated in Hindi.

''I am used to being nervous, but this play has brought 'fear'.

It's a test to prove myself. The challenge lies in the fact that all the characters I play are different, and difficult to relate to, since I'm a simple person. I'm also not used to talking to the mirror in real life,'' Ms Tiwari said.

'Aaine Ke Sau Tukde' will premier at Rangasharda Hall from March 13.
