Student strips down by teachers on cell phone checking

In an incident exposing the cruel face of teachers, a class XI boy, who was suspected to be using a cellphone in school, was forced to remove his trousers by two teachers at the behest of principal, all under the garb of checking.

The incident took place at Government Senior Secondary School of Paterehri village on Thursday. The 'strip-down' search did not yield any cellphone, but the boy is learned to have gone into depression and refused to go to school after the mortification he had to endure. The boy's parents lodged a complaint with the district education officer (DEO) on Friday. DEO Nisha Sharma has ordered a probe. Expressing ignorance about the incident, the school principal, Narottam said, "I returned to my office after asking teachers to carry out thorough checking. But no mobile was found on him."

The principal had on Thursday ordered the team headed by Pardeep Kumar to check the students.
